Dextra Munkkivuori

Dextra Munkkivuori is a home-like care facility familiar to many residents in the Helsinki metropolitan area, spanning four generations. Our medical centre services were initiated in Munkkivuori in 1964, and our hospital was launched in 1989.

Today, about two hundred general practitioners, specialists and dentists, as well as about one hundred other health care professionals, work at Dextra. Our high-standard expertise and modern laboratory, imaging and hospital services provide a fast-paced and efficient care chain. Our customers' care rests with the same expert and safe hands at every stage.

The name "Dextra" stems from the Latin word ‘dexter', meaning ‘right', ‘on the right side' as opposed to the left. The name captures the company's most important rule: to provide its customers with individual and comprehensive service - the right care.
